Hype Energy To Partner With Apex Online Racing In 2018 for the 'AOR HYPE ENERGY F1 LEAGUE'

Hype Energy is excited to announce it will be working alongside Apex Online Racing throughout 2018, helping to deliver more F1 and motorsports gaming content to the esports community. Official partners of the Sahara Force India F1 team and sponsors of F1 and motorsports based esports team Oscaro Esports by SDL, Hype Energy has the resources and the desire to unite the incredible worlds of F1 and gaming. With the Formula 1 Esports series starting its first full season this year, motorsports gaming is sure to make waves in 2018 - and the AOR Hype Energy F1 League will be the place to be.

Motorsports Gaming with AOR

Apex Online Racing, or AOR, is an online eRacing league organised and managed at www.apexonlineracing.com which will be entering its 15th consecutive season. With professional commentary and a fiercely competitive league, you can watch the full races on the AOR YouTube Channel. AOR takes place across the biggest motorsports gaming titles, including: - F1 2017 - Project Cars 2 - rFactor 2 - iRacing - WTTC - WRC

The AOR Hype Energy F1 League takes place on XB1 and PS4, and is split across different regions. YouTube F1 gaming star Tiametmarduk (Benjamin Daly) also takes part in the Oceania F1 2017 League.

Managed by Dan Hawkins, multiple AOR Leagues take place across different regions and different titles. Races are held almost every weekend with several famous faces participating in the championship, including 2017 F1 Esports winner Brendon Leigh, Youtuber Tiametmarduk (check out his Abu Dhabi vlog with Hype Energy here) and many more drivers that competed in the inaugural 2017 F1 Esports final. With so much talent and leagues for all the major motorsports gaming titles, there’s never been a better time to enjoy online racing.

World’s Top Ranked Chilean Surfer Manuel Selman Joins Hype Energy

Manuel Selman has joined Hype Energy as he pushes for more success in 2018, joining fellow Chilean Nicolas Vargas at the brand.

Manuel, currently based in California, starts 2018 with the aim to progress up the world rankings and take Chilean surfing onto the world stage.

With this latest addition to its line up of surfers, Hype Energy continues to grow and further strengthen its position within surfing.

Manuel Selman is a three-time Latin American champion and currently ranks # 71 in the World Qualifying Series.

At just 28 years old, Manuel Selman has managed to make history. A three-time Latin American champion and currently sitting at 71st in World Surf League Qualifying Series rankings. Besides competing and belonging to Team Chile of the Chilean Surf Federation, Manuel combines his time surfing with kite surfing, standing out with his effortless style and technique.

Oscaro Esports Gets Hyped for 2018

Created in 2006, SDL esports grew to become one of the most successful sim racing organisations in Europe. The organisation is now known as Oscaro Esports by SDL due to their recent involvement with the e-commerce company Oscaro.

With eight World Championship victories on Project Cars, Oscaro Esports have both the experience and the talent to compete at a global level.

Kévin "SoniK" Leaune - Hype Energy Gaming Ambassador

Kévin Leaune joins the Hype Energy ambassador line-up as an official gaming ambassador.

Kévin Leaune discovered his passion for video games through car simulators, where he found similar sensations while participating in high-level karting races. Since 2006, Kévin co-founded the SDL esports organisation and became a driver, as well as a Team Manager.

Becoming the first French Champion on F1 on consoles back in 2010, Kévin focused on his passion, and in 2015 participated in the Project CARS World Championship under the username SoniK.

With incredible performances, Kévin Leaune won the first Project CARS World Championship, and decided to focus on the management of the team after, which earned them an additional 4 World Championship titles.

Hype Energy made its involvement with Kévin official during the Race of Champions (ROC) in Riyadh on the 2nd and 3rd of February 2018. Kévin Leaune participated in the first ever eRace of Champions, created in association with Logitech G. Alongside the former F1 esports Champion Brendon Leigh, Enzo Bonito, Alexander Dornieden and Rudy van Buren, Kevin managed to place 3rd over the weekend.

CWL: Pro League Playoffs Are Back In Action

The CWL: Pro League Playoffs kick off this February 6th as Hype Energy sponsored Epsilon eSports travel to the USA for the latest round of the Call of Duty eSports competition. Dvqee, Vortex, Nathan and Hawqeh representing the #EpsiCoD line-up, here’s what you need to know for the CWL Pro League 2018.

The Call of Duty: WL Pro League continues next Tuesday as the world’s top CoD teams meet again in Ohio, USA.

Event

Taking place across three days in Columbus, Ohio, the CWL: Pro League Playoffs is divided into two divisions; Division A and Division B. Each Division will consist of 8 teams, and the result will count towards qualification for the CWL Pro League later this year, with a staggering $700,000 prize pool.

The EpsiCoD roster is made up of Dqvee, Insanitised, Vortex and Hawqeh.

From the international travelling circus of Formula One to the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in the hot and beautiful South East coast of the United States, Hype Energy has a busy calendar for 2018. The 56th Rolex 24 to take place at Daytona, we’ll give you a run down of what to expect this weekend, and what you need to know.

Taking place in Daytona, Florida, the world famous endurance race kicks off this Saturday, 27th and Hype Energy will be following the Performance Tech Motorsport Team throughout the whole weekend.

Event

The Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona will host its 56th race this weekend.

The Daytona International Speedway opened on the 5th April, 1959 almost 60 years ago, and has remained a centre piece of the motorsports world ever since. Its iconic three corner oval allows cars to reach speeds well in excess of 200 MPH, and over the years has hosted countless races across multiple motorsport series. The drivers enjoy the high speed, sweeping corners of the famous oval which is followed by the tricky and technical central part of the track. It’s 24 hours of being on the limit, of pure concentration, all fulled by adrenaline. Or Hype Energy, in the case of the team at Performance Tech Motorsport.

2018 looks to be a strong one for the Florida based team, the addition of Joel Miller and a 'home' race for the team means their Rolex 24 hour campaign should be equally as successful as their previous entries. Entering for a fifth time in 2018 they will be looking to emulate their 2017 win.

Fernando Alonso will be taking part in the 56th Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona this weekend.

The Rolex 24 at Daytona always hosts big names and well known faces from around the world, but this year there’s something a little extra special. Double F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso has taken leave from his McLaren simulator to find his magic formula in another motorsport, where he'll be driving for UK team United Autosports. His presence at the event has shined an even brighter spotlight on the race, as the international F1 community looks toward Daytona to witness one of the best drivers of his generation fight through 24 brutal hours of the Daytona International Speedway.
