The Forza Motorsport series was developed by Turn 10 Studios and released the original game in 2005. Steve Thomas (LMP Dragon), the captain and founder explained to us some of the history and success of LMP Motorsports: “I formed LMP on the 11th October 2011 and joined TORA in 2013. Since then, we have slowly grown to a team of around 15 dedicated drivers running in all sorts of championships, from the GT category, to big rigs and even touring cars. The team have achieved several top 3 team championship finishes and have even won a team title in a one make series known as the spec cup, with us regularly making the top level of drivers in any given championship.” For more information on the team and virtual racing, please follow their twitter channels: @LMP_Dragon @LMPMS @TheReal_TORA Hype wishes the team all the best in their upcoming virtual racing championships, and are sure they will virtually win every race!Hype Energy to become the main sponsor of new eSports talent
The Hype team are delighted to announce the formation of a new link with Epsilon eSports.
If there is something Epsilon are well known for in the eSports world; it’s for having an amazing eye for upcoming young talent. While developing their recruitment process, Epsilon eSports have had some of the best players in the world, increasing their visibility and notoriety in the eSports scene. Less than a year ago, they signed a mildly known Swedish Counter Strike Global Offensive team whose global ranking was at over 200. Only a few months after signing up with Epsilon eSports, they made it into the top 20 in the world by winning almost every single game they played in this year! Now, Epsilon eSports and Hype Energy have joined forces to form an Academy, starting with the CSGO team, which will play under the name EPSILON HYPE. The team has potential to go far and beyond, with the important influencers within Epsilon and more specifically their CSGO heritage. The new Epsilon Hype Counter Strike roster will be composed of:Hampus 'hampus' Poser (Capt) Alfred 'RuStY' Karlsson Kalle "perzon" Persson Linus 'limp' Brannlund Patrik 'powerputte' Perjons Felix "FELLPA" Hedlund (Coach)
Coach FELLPA had this to say about the new set up: "We got really excited when Chrille approached us about Epsilon, since we know that they have a great reputation and are a well known organisation. It will be a great place for us to take it to the next level especially with the support of Hype Energy. Their drinks will keep us focused during practice! We all are happy to be a part of Epsilon and would like to thank Hype, Epsilon and Chrille for giving us this opportunity." Manu Álvarez, Social Media Manager at Hype Energy Drinks stated: "This is a new step for Hype and Epsilon in their eSports adventure. Sponsoring young gaming talent can have an equal, or greater impact than sponsoring bigger teams, because you can see the potential of the players, their development and how they improve every single day, essentially following them from the start until they reach set goals. We can clearly see big benefits for all parties involved." We must thank Epsilon eSports, not only for their support in backing our recent presence in the international gaming scene, but also in their continued support across all of our activities! All of the Hype Energy team are looking forward to working with this young talented team and helping them along their way to the top. Over the last weekend (September 2nd-4th) Call of Duty held their yearly Championship, which this year was won by EnvyUs. With a prize pool of over $2 million up for grabs, we were lucky enough to be sponsoring Epsilon eSports team which placed in the top 16 in the world! If you missed the action don’t worry, we’re here to recap the whole event!
Epsilon eSports had a great start in pool play after beating Renegades (3-1) and Beat Pulse (3-2). Only two teams from each pool advance to the next stage, where they fight to be crowned. Epsilon made it out of pool play to face off against FAB, another European team. Sadly, Epsilon was knocked down to the loser’s bracket, losing the first series 3-1. The next day in the 1/8 knockout stage, Epsilon fell short against HyperGames (3-2) in which they were very close to taking the victory after 5 tight maps.
Even though Epsilon may not have taken the crown, they still get to say they are officially a Top 16 team. Getting the opportunity to even attend this event is amazing, and we are glad to support such an awesome eSports team!
The Call of Duty Championship wasn’t all competitive. Though the event was based around that, people who attended the event also had the chance to play paintball on the iconic Call of Duty map “Nuketown”. Alongside playing paintball, attendees were among the first in the world to get their hands on the new game, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. As a whole the event was something you won’t want to miss next year! Make sure to follow us and Epsilon on twitter to stay in the loop! @HypeEnergy and @Epsilon_eSports.
Epsilon eSports Are Ready To Make History At The L.A Call of Duty World Championship
Call of Duty to some people is just a casual pass time, but to others it’s their way of living. Players from all around the world spend countless hours preparing for Call of Duty tournaments with big cash prizes! Call of Duty is hosting the CWL Championship alongside PlayStation with a prize pool of over $2 Million!
To be able to play in this tournament held in Los Angeles, California, September 1st – 4th, you would have needed to compete in the online qualifier. After ruthless hours of winning nonstop matches, you get placed into a group. Group play is decided after all teams have qualified. Teams are then randomly placed into 8 different groups to fight it out. The top 2 teams from each group get moved to the knockout round, where they fight to be crowned CWL Champions and collect their cash prize.
Not only are we excited to watch the action, but we get to root for our sponsored team, Epsilon! They were put into Group D against two North American teams, and one other European team. Let’s hope they make it through Group play and onto the Knockout Round. Make sure to follow @HypeEnergy and @Epsilon_eSports to stay up to date with the action!
